It’s almost time for every horror fiction fan’s favorite time of the year. Yes, Halloween is only a few days away. It’s time for monsters, candy, evil black cats, and deadly women. Oh yes, deadly women! Forget Donald Trump. Forget Hillary ROTTEN Clinton. The only people who matter right now are: Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger. Bring on the full moon and everything creepy that goes along with it.
Now Halloween isn’t a time for watching wimpy movies like the Twilight series. It’s time to pull out the many thousands and thousands of horror DVDs I have in my collection and prepare to be scared out of mind by the great imagination of the horror directors, writers, makeup artists who work diligently to make the most unique horror masterpieces imaginable. The eighties brought us some of the best cheesy and memorable horror flicks of all time. The nineties brought us the first wave of incredible “Lost Footage” films. After that: Game on! We had the pleasure of seeing the most realistic horror films imaginable with the help of all the new technology created just for the SOUL purpose of scaring us to DEATH.
Thursday night, I have the great pleasure of seeing the original Halloween movie, the best of the franchise in my opinion, at the theater. I’ve never seen the original one at the theater before. I was only three at the time. Halloween 6, the bad one, was the first one I had the chance to see at the theater. Poor Ant-Man, that one was one of Paul Rudd’s first movies.
Starting on Tuesday, October 27, Mark Cusco Ailes (Author of Zombie Park) and I will be taking over http://shortfictionbreak.com with six days of brand new horror short stories; one debuting each day. The first day is my cutesy Halloween related story “Mittens”. Then on Wednesday, the horror madness typical of the Ailes Brothers of Terror begins. Friday and Saturday will end the Halloween Horror Takeover with my epic “Catfurnado: Oh Meow No!” In the tradition of Sharknado, I bring you the next installment of my Catfurnado series.
You can read the original Catfurnado stories in the anthology: Catfurnado, Zombies and One Killer Doll by Mark Cusco Ailes and Derek Ailes. Download it now on Kindle if you dare! http://authl.it/B00NDVWK88?d
