Work is coming along on Shark Transporter. I came up with some suspenseful, on the edge of your seat, scenes. The story is going to start out with a bang. I've started watching all my shark movies for inspiration. I want to do something that shark fans will not expect. Shark Transporter will be included in my latest release: "Zombie Command: Demon's Unleashed." Hopefully, the collection will be released in April as planned. In the past few months, I've written some my best work I ever have in the past thirty years.
Vacation's going great. Found some old manuscripts going way back to the 80's. I also just finished reading "Night of the Living Reds" which is my first horror short story published in 1994. I found my first short story "The Day It Rained Candy" written back in 1985. 2015 will mark my 30th Anniversary in the writing field. I will be working this year to get all my old stories re-written and updated for the modern times for a future collection. "Night of the Living Reds" will be redone for the "Second Journey Into The Unknown" by Mark Cusco Ailes and I due out in September.
I found all the books that had every character from the old Power Force Series (1985-1994). I re-introduced a couple of the characters in the short story "Zombie Command" coming this spring. I also found the unpublished manuscript to Power Command. I'm so glad that book was never published. The book was written by Mark Cusco Ailes and I back in 1995-96. Maybe someday, I'll resurrect the Power Force series. I did spend twenty some years on the project. I think several hundred short stories were written. Given that 2015 would be The Power Force 30th Anniversary, maybe that would be the perfect year to re-introduce the long lost series to the world.
Going to start going through some of the stories I need to finish for "Zombie Command: Demon's Unleashed." I can't wait to finish that project since some of my best work is in this collection. My fans will love these new horror short stories.
Until next time
How many of you out there are sick of winter already? 2014 started out with a bang! Snow on top of snow and now it's all going to melt. Anybody have an ark? After an intense week of no running water due to a pipe bursting in my upstairs bathroom, I now have my water restored.
2014 will be a very productive year for me. I have at least two book projects coming out. Zombie Command: Demon's Unleashed will be out sometime in the spring. I'm almost finished writing the stories. I still have to finish the short story "Zombie Hunter" and write the short story "Shark Transporter." I also started working on a story about a stocker at a grocery store that has a mental breakdown and starts killing his coworkers called: "The Night Crew." There may also be two additional short stories written. I'm not sure I will make the April deadline, but I will try my hardest to finish the stories in time.
Two weeks ago, I finished another short story called "It's a Sugar Thing." It's about a writer that is diagnosed as diabetic and discovered that he can't write without sugar from his favorite sweets in his system. This story is more of a comedic one than a horror story.
The first six short stories have gone through the first edit with my editor. I'm amazed at all the mistakes I make as I write. That's a part of writing. Edit, edit, and when you're done, edit some more.
Mark Cusco Ailes and I have already started planning "The Second Journey Into The Unknown." In this collection of short horror stories, there will be at least one story written by both of us together. Two minds will make one great story. A couple of my long out of print short stories from the early nineties will be redone and updated for this collection. A sequel to Karena is possible. I have a great story outlined for the continuing story of Karena and Triskies.
Mark and I got a card in the mail today from a reader that loved "Journey Into The Unknown." I love positive feedback.
I hope everybody survived this week's snow storm. As always, stay scared.
