Nothing says hello from one half of the Ailes Brothers of Terror than wishing all the mothers out there, including mine, a Happy Mother's Day. I would say a very happy one, but our editors don't like it when we use "very" anymore. After my mother's help over the years, I have three published books with the fourth one half way done.
With the short story "Travelers" done, I'm making headway on the short story "Alien Town". Leave it to a demented mind like myself to take a story about a small town being visited by aliens and turning it into a horror story. I try to write a nice family orientated story... Ok, I can't even finish that sentence without vomiting. The story is what all my readers come to expect; pure insanity.
My entry into the shortfictionbreak.com latest anthology just went through an edit from a couple of fellow authors from the website. I got a lot of ideas on how to make the story better. With those suggestions, I now have a better direction for my fantasy novel "Beast Within". The Short Fiction Break anthology still has a late June/early July release date.
Mark Cusco Ailes and I, while eating at CiCi's Pizza Buffet, designed our new setup for the Indiana Writers' Consortium's 2015 Steel Pen Writers' Conference. There is going to be an all day book fair, open to the public, running all day on October 10 at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza Merrillville, Indiana. We will have an elaborate set up with horror props, light up signs and other surprises. We aren't the type of authors who throw a tablecloth on a table with books plainly on display. We have to stand out from the pack. Mark and I are attention whores. Eyes on us only.
September is going to be the Ailes Brothers of Terror month at South Haven Library in Indiana. All our work will be on display in the display case for the whole month. Yes, we are constantly out there promoting ourselves.
I hope everybody enjoys Mother's Day
Until Next time,
